Rib Cage Pain

Rib cage pain can be difficult to treat if you don’t know what is the underlying cause of the pain. Once you have determined the cause of your rib cage pain, then you can more effectively treat the problem.

When should you do something about the pain that you are facing?  As a new mother, one of the most common things for her to do is to worry if the child needs to visit a doctor.  They rolled off onto the floor from the couch.  They spit up for the third meal in a row.  They often are concerned about the simplest of things to the most common conditions.  Yet, understanding pain and understanding illness are things you absolutely must take into consideration.  When it comes to pain, understanding the need that you have is essential.

Rib Cage Pain

How do you feel if you have rib cage pain? Pain is a trigger that comes from the nerve endings to the brain.  The more troublesome the pain is, the more intense the pain message that the brain sends to you.  For example, if you place your hand on the burner of a hot stove, your nerves instantly send a message to your brain and the brain tells you to move your hand.  The pain continues, though, alerting you to the need that you have to remove your hand and then take care of what injury is on it.

That’s where the decision process comes in.  How will you handle the pain that you are experiencing?  How do you know when you need to take care of the problem?  How does a new mother know when it is necessary to take her baby to the hospital or when it is okay to just let him have a good night’s rest?  These questions are often hard to answer, but you can let pain be a bit of a helping hand.

For example, the more painful that the injury is, the more immediate the pain is, the more important it is for you to seek attention.  Often, the body will tell you through how intense the pain is the seriousness of the injury and therefore the need that you have to seek out the solution to your condition.  The pain management that you take on is then up to you to decide on.

Of course, it is important that common sense play a role in the process of decisions about pain management as well.  Sometimes, pain that is so intense will cause the body’s adrenaline to kick in, giving you the ability to handle the pain to resolve the problem.  In this case, it may not be easy to get a clear understanding of what has happened.

See your doctor if you are experiencing rib cage pain as they are qualified to determine the right pain management solution for your situation.

Hi I have a problem. My doctor tells me I have to drink 20 minutes before or after my meal, because I have IBS. So I kinda broke the rules, and I drank during my meals, and then I end up in pain, and the pain isn’t my stomach it’s my rib cage. It’s really painful, and I’ve been to the hospital several times when it happens, they can’t seem to find anything wrong. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m scared, I just want these rib pains to go away. What might it be, I know it can’t be IBS, it has to be something else. Any suggestions would be nice.
    Thank you.
